Ingredients

Meatball Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey Lean and nutritious, a great protein alternative.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs For binding and texture.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Adds depth and umami flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Brightness and color.
  • 1/4 cup Onion Sweetness and moisture.
  • 2 cloves Garlic For aromatic depth.
  • 1 Egg Binding agent.
  • 1 tsp Salt Enhances overall flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Adds subtle heat.
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning A blend that brings it all together.
  • 1 jar Marinara Sauce Optional, but highly recommended for serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). The anticipation of smell begins!
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until all ingredients are fully integrated, ensuring not to over-mix to keep them tender.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 ½ inches in diameter, and arrange them on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and have a lovely golden hue on the outside.
  2. For a slow-cooked option, place the meatballs in a slow cooker, cover with marinara sauce, and cook on low for 4-6 hours, allowing flavors to meld beautifully.
Serving
  1. Serve with pasta, rice, or even creamy mashed potatoes for a wholesome meal that brings comfort at every bite.

Notes

To reheat, place meatballs in a preheated oven or air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. This method preserves the texture. Avoid microwaving as it will make them rubbery.
