Ingredients

For the Noodles and Pork
  • 8 oz Noodles (egg noodles, rice noodles)
  • 1 lb Ground Pork Opt for pork with a higher fat content (at least 20%) for a juicier outcome.
For the Sauce and Aromatics
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Consider low-sodium varieties for a healthier option.
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce If unavailable, substitute with a mixture of soy sauce and a bit of sugar.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil For a distinctive nutty flavor.
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 inch Ginger, minced
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Vegetables (e.g., bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas) Choose a mix of vibrant, seasonal vegetables.
For Garnish
  • Green Onions For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Cooking
  1. Add the ground pork to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through.
  2. Stir in soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing well to coat the pork evenly.
  3. Add the vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.
  4. Toss in the cooked noodles, and mix everything together until heated through, ensuring even distribution of sauces.
  5. Plate your Pork Noodles in a bowl, garnishing generously with sliced green onions.

Notes

To boost nutritional value, consider adding spinach or kale. For a gluten-free option, use rice noodles and gluten-free soy sauce.
