Preparation
  1. In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add sun-dried tomatoes and Italian seasoning, stirring to create a flavorful base.
Cooking
  1. Pour in the chicken broth, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add the orzo and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
  3. Once the orzo is cooked, stir in the heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet and let it soak up flavors for another 5 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

To enhance nutritional value, consider adding spinach or opting for skinless chicken thighs. Serve in shallow bowls with a crisp white wine.
