Ingredients

Essential Ingredients
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar Can be swapped for monk fruit sweetener.
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F) Activates the yeast.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted Use high-quality for better control over salt.
  • 2 large eggs Can be replaced with flaxseed meal for vegan option.
  • Additional melted butter for brushing

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a sticky dough begins to form.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead vigorously for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  6. After rising, punch down the dough and divide it into small balls, each about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  7. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and let them rise again for 30-45 minutes.
Baking

  2. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Once baked, brush the tops with melted butter before serving.
