Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large, heavy-bottomed cast iron skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant for about 30 seconds.
  3. Toss in the sliced cabbage, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet still vibrant.
  4. If using, add your choice of protein and cook until heated through.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, along with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Plate your colorful stir fry and serve hot.

Notes
